Thank you! And narrowboating

Thank you for visiting, and for all the comments left on my last post - I've been away, but will get back into the swing of visiting you all in return soon.

I just want to say a huge thank you for my lovely giveaway parcel from the fabulous Beki at The Ramblings of an Everyday Mummy

All packed so beautifully... take a peek...

Lovely yummy CK wrapping, vintage postcard, and decoupage cutouts to use...

More lovely wrapping... I can't ever wrap as prettily as this...

Just about to dive in:

My fave choc goody ever, a crunchie of course... how did she know! Plus a choccie egg and yummy Emma Bridgewater tissues.

A beautiful bookmark, which has gone straight into use.

I was so excited when I unwrapped the hearts, especially the button one. I've admired those on her blog so much.

And a chocolate Easter package for each of the children - they were so thrilled, I can't tell you. Thank you for that.

It was a smashing giveaway. Thank you so much. And there's more.... she then gave me this brilliant award. Thank you Beki. I love it.

I guess you've all had it, as I've been absent for so long. Angel, do you want it? Cos I lubs you loads, you know I do. And of course my lovely friend over at Hedgecombers. Lubs you too! And the gorgeous Melmel - email me hun, I can't access your blog again and have got bad withdrawal symptoms. x

Now, we've been away, hence the silence from me. Each year for the past 3 years we've taken a narrowboat break. We all love it, especially if there are lots of locks.

This year we tackled the Shropshire ring. It was very nice, though not as pretty I have to say, as the Oxford Canal last year or the Grand Union the year before that. And, dare I say it, not as friendly.

But it was fascinating. I'll post more pics once I sort them out. It's such a relaxing holiday. But I fell in!!!!! Grrrrr. And we very nearly sank the boat in a lock. Double grrrrr. That was a bit of a shock, because it happened so fast and nobody thought to help - amazing, three kids and a granny on board, and people think it's funny (it was quite serious for a while). Still, hasn't put us off!

Glad to hear you had a good holiday apart from falling in and nearly sinking the boat in a lock.

BUT you say you like it if there are lots of locks ... come down this way then and try these ...

I'm a bit of a waterphobe so although I could just about manage a narrowboat break just me and hubby - I'd spoil the kids week with my get away from the edge - sit still - wheres your lifejacket screams!!!
I love the idea of staying - actually living on a narrowboat though.
Lovely swap from Beki x
