Easter chickens

I thought it would be nice for my middle daughter, who loves sewing and fabric, to take chickens and little creme eggs to her friends. I thought this after reading my lovely pal Dollydollop's post about all she's been up to, as I've been a bit lazy lately in terms of my crafting. So thank you for the motivation, Dolly. ;-)

So I set to yesterday and she helped when she got home from school. I even broke into one of my precious French fabrics, which is really hard to have done...

We made seven chickens, one for her teacher and six for her closest friends...

Waiting for button eyes...

And all done, with skinny little ribbon legs...

I just hope her friends like them - she's taken them in this morning. White o'morn... your chicken will follow soon... really excited about it.

I think our girls would get on so well, Jess seems to be getting her crafty side back now....slowly.
Think we'll have to give the chickens a go.
