Weekend fun

Well, last week, guess what was waiting for me in a charity shop...

A cushion cover to match my new bedroom curtains. How lucky is that!

My children have wanted me to post this picture, of a little friend they made a couple of weekends back...

Isn't he cute!

Now, this weekend we went sledging. It was great fun (indoor dome at Milton Keynes), but freezing cold because it's snow. But I haven't any photos because you're not allowed to take pics! (But I cheated a little bit!)

But I have got pictures of the bead making we all tried at my SIL's. All three of mine tried and enjoyed this...
My 11 year old:

My seven year old:

And my 10 year old:

It was fun shaping the glass...

And here are our first attempts. I think they came out pretty good.
Especially the children's (all the blue ones). Mine did something funny with oxygen and ended up red rather than bright blue.

My lovely SIL had made me a pair of earrings...

(yes, Angel, they are on your fabulous bag...don't they look good there!).

I did lots of crochet for my blanket, which I'll give you a peek at soon. Sorry, rushed post, but got to get 10 year old to bed. Nighty night. x

Hiya Melme - thank you. It was a pretty perfect w/e.
Dancing: it was at my SIL's - she's set up a desk with all the equipment.
Hi Deb - it's certainly a more unusual hobby, so I felt lucky the kids could try it out (and me!). Hilarious that the children's beads came out better, though.
