Cath Kidston or Laura Ashley?

Well, I can't decide. I've stripped most of the wallpaper off our landing, and am now faced with the dilemna of choosing which wallpaper. I'd phoned CK a couple of weeks ago asking for samples, and have had nothing from them. So I gave up and went into a branch and got them. I've now popped up two Cath Kidston's, and two LA's, and I love all of them. So, what to do?

I'm worried the blue will be a little dark. I'm also worried we'll tire of the bird design, if it's all over the walls.

And it's just so hard to choose...

Any ideas? I think I'm slightly opting for the CK Antique Rose on white. But if you have any alternative shabby chic papers you could suggest, I'd love to hear them.

Meanwhile, we're working our way down the stairs. Littleun put on a coat and hat and goggles after he got sprayed with chippings of wallpaper from above, so of course I just had to grab a pic!

I'd go for the antique rose on white as hallways can get very dark. They are all lovely though.

Haha - our hallway/landing has been waiting for 10 years, so a year is nothing. But I have a sudden urge to get it done for Christmas. So, votes for the antique rose, then. Thank you. Any more?

Another vote for CK rose on white from me - thats what we are putting in our hallway - the LA is beautiful but I think the rose is timeless :)

I agree, I love that LA one but it's quite busy for a hallway.

I just love the Laura Ashley one. I have always found that somehow her designs dont intrude, but almost faade into the background. Lovely colours...

Right, seven votes so far for the Cath Kidston antique rose. Two for the Laura Ashley. Thanks all for stopping by and taking the time to comment. You are all making this so much easier, as I love all of them, and so am finding it really hard. x

What about patchwork? Patchwork all the pieces But really the antique rose on the white might be good in the hall. That's gorgeous.

I like them all but not sure about the whole hall/landing.
What about a small feature wall upstairs and down, one LA the other CK???
